Gerry is a 1963 graduate of Union College in Kentucky where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. He worked for several major industrial corporations prior to entering public accounting with his college roommate in 1973. After merging with a larger CPA firm in 1979, Gerry set out in 1983 to form a smaller, more personalized CPA practice and founded what would become The Ballard Firm, PA.
Gerry is experienced in all matters of accounting and taxation, IRS problem resolution, estates and trusts, business formation, financial planning and investment and business sales.
Gerry obtained certification from the Delaware Society of Certified Public Accountants in 1969 (#203) and was admitted in January of 1970 in addition to becoming a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is also a member of the National Society of Tax Professionals.
Away from the office, Gerry and his wife, Doris, enjoy spending time with family. He is an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan, a licensed pilot, and enjoys watching and playing golf and reading.
